The gameplay is divided into turns where each player draws cards and rolls dice to execute actions based on real-world scenarios and political events. The USA player's objective is to build and maintain the border wall, using American workers to place wall segments strategically across the board. This player must manage resources (American workers) efficiently, using them to either build new sections of the wall or slide existing sections to close gaps created by the migrant player.

Conversely, the migrant player aims to move as many migrants across the border before the wall is completed. This player must navigate through or over the wall, using various tactics like tunnels, legal challenges, or even leveraging political or humanitarian events to their advantage. 

The game introduces a variety of cards that reflect real-world events and policies, such as "Border Patrol Boost," which allows the USA player to remove migrants from the field, or "Democrats in Power," giving the migrant player a chance to move migrants over the wall. These cards add layers of strategy, unpredictability, and a touch of political satire, reflecting current events and the ongoing debate over immigration policies.
